SHARON MARSHALL

Executive Director

Sharon has been the Executive Director of Reach Out since 1999, and her devotion for removing barriers to access counselling and support programs for young people, and families has remained consistent over the years.  Sharon has a strong passion for youth mental health, and being a mother to four children in Kelowna has given her insight into the issues and challenges that youth face in our community.  Since her start here at Reach Out, Sharon's hope is that when clients enter this space, they feel a sense of welcome, safety, and support.  Whatever issues that our clients present, Sharon hopes that they leave with a few more tools, and/or skills to equip them for all of life's challenges.  Sharon believes that counsellors, while needing to be educated and skilled, must have a natural gift to connect with and build trust with those that are vulnerable.
